Oil on box canvas painted June 2014. Size 23cmx31cm .5cm deep. This shows two little boats tied up in one of Arran’s tiny harbour. Two people are looking out to the other island. There is a quality of light that is quite unique on the Scottish island that gives a softness to the blues and greys that belies the harshness of the winter. The natural colours of the stones on the islands can be seen in the harbour walls. The boats are traditional style to the islands too.
